Australian Bushfire Chai Tea

Bold, warming and full of Australian character, Mrs Oldbucks Pantry Australian Bushfire Chai blends smooth black tea with traditional chai spices and subtle smoky notes for a deeply comforting cup. Inspired by bush flavours and campfire warmth, this unique chai delivers layers of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and spice, rounded out with gentle smokiness that adds depth and richness. It’s robust yet beautifully balanced — perfect for cosy mornings, afternoon treats, or slow evenings by the fire. Delicious enjoyed black, or brewed with milk for a rich, café-style chai.

Brewing Guide:

1 teaspoon (approx. 2–3g) per cup (250ml)

Freshly boiled water – 95–100°C

3–5 minutes, depending on preferred strength

Serving Suggestions:
Enjoy black for a bold spiced cup, or brew strong and add warm milk for a creamy bushfire chai — lovely lightly sweetened and made for slow sipping.

Traditional Stovetop Chai Method

For a richer, café-style chai:

  1. Add 1 teaspoon of tea per cup to a small saucepan.

  2. Pour in half water, half milk (or dairy-free alternative).

  3. Bring gently to a simmer (avoid a rolling boil).

  4. Simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Strain into your cup and sweeten to taste.

This method creates a deeper, creamier chai with beautifully rounded spice and smoky bushfire notes — perfect for cosy evenings or slow mornings.
