So what is Black Garlic?
Black garlic is the result of using temperature and humidity to caramelise the garlic to produce black cloves which give the flavour of almost a savoury sweet molasses. It is one of my favourite “go tos” for either a quick canape, a beautiful garlic butter on a steak or to lift even the simplest of pasta dishes.
In the range we have both peeled and unpeeled black garlic cloves ( I personally lbeatiful with seafood ike the unpeeled as it protects the cloves in the jar and i just love peeling back the skin to reveal the jewel inside) and a range of powders which are so quick and simple to lift any dish
Smoked garlic powder – dust over a cheese souffle as it comes out of the oven.
Black garlic powder – lifts any pasta dish to a whole new level
Black garlic and rosemary – sprinkle over a hearty pumpkin or tomato soup , rub over a boned leg of lamb
Black garlic and lemon myrtle – beautiful with seafood or any asian inspired dish for an extra depth in favour.
