We work closely with our producers to bring you simple filtered raw honey, full of natural flavour and character, just as nature intended.

Every Mrs Oldbucks Pantry Honey jar is bottled right here on the premises, just honest 100% honey, supporting local beekeepers and local communities.

Manuka Honey

What Makes Manuka Honey So Special?

Not all honey is the same and Manuka honey is one of the most unique varieties in the world.

Made by bees collecting nectar from the flowering Manuka bush , Leptospermum scoparium, a type of tea tree but a different species to the standard Australian tea tree used for essential oil production.

Manuka honey is naturally rich, earthy and intensely aromatic. What truly sets it apart is its naturally occurring antibacterial activity, measured by its MGO rating (Methylglyoxal).

The higher the MGO number, the greater the concentration of naturally occurring antibacterial compounds.

Lower MGO ratings are perfect for everyday enjoyment and general wellness support, while higher MGO ratings are often sought for more targeted therapeutic use.

At Mrs Oldbucks Pantry, we love Manuka honey for its rich flavour, beautiful texture and connection to traditional natural wellness. Stir through tea, drizzle on toast, enjoy by the spoonful or add to warm lemon drinks during the cooler months.
